Richmond Race and Reconciliation with Daryl Davis

Saturday, March 17

An international recording artist, Darryl Davis not only has worked with the likes of Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and Bo Diddley, he’s also ventured into enemy territory. For 20 years, he’s been meeting with Ku Klux Klan leaders and attending the groups’ rallies to develop a method of conversation to transform relationships. Dozens of KKK members have renounced their membership thanks to his courageous work. He’ll be telling his inspiring stories locally at Speaking Spirit Ministries at 4205 Ravenswood Road from 6 to 8 p.m. Donations requested.
