At this Saturday night’s Richmond Forum event featuring journalists Jan Crawford and Kimberly Strassel, moderated by VPM CEO Jayme Swain, the audience was treated to a big announcement of the speakers for the nonprofit series’ upcoming 2024-2025 season.
The Richmond Forum’s 39th season will kick off next Nov. 23 and is highlighted with appearances in 2025 from highly successful, former Duke men’s basketball coach, Mike Krzyzewski or “Coach K,” and closes with well-known entrepreneur Martha Stewart. Others speakers include a NASA astrophysicist (Dr. Amber Straughn), writer, producer and comedian (Baratunde Thurston) and author and researcher (Richard Reeves).

Nov. 23, 2024 – Baratunde Thurston – “Artificial Intelligence: What is Real?”
Jan. 11, 2025 – Dr. Amber Straughn – “NASA’s Search for Cosmic History”
Feb. 15, 2025 – Mike Krzyzewski (“Coach K”) – “Playing to Win”

March 22, 2025 – Richard Reeves “Are Boys Falling Behind?”
April 26, 2025 – Martha Stewart with Soledad O’Brien – “The Life Behind Living”
“The 2024 – 2025 lineup is a slate of fascinating figures and topics for our time that we are proud to bring to Richmond,” said Heather Crislip, executive director of the Richmond Forum, in a press release. “The ideas, discoveries, and stories coming to the Forum stage next season will ask us challenging questions and leave us in awe.”
Also according to the release: “Those interested in attending these programs can do so by purchasing a flexible online subscription, on sale now for $130. Online subscribers are able to stream all five 2024 – 2025 season programs from anywhere in the world and can upgrade to in-person seats in the Altria Theater on a program-by-program basis.
