Ever wonder which Virginia ZIP codes are the wealthiest in the county?
The Washington Post’s Wonkblog has an idea and they’re not in Richmond.
The survey shows that the richest in the Old Dominion is 24005 in Roanoke with an income of $394,400. Charlottesville’s 22905 is next with $376,875, followed by 20184 in Upperville at $302,395.
Other research from a group named ESRI shows that the richest ZIP codes in the Richmond area are (who’d have thunk?) south of the James River in Chesterfield County. These include 23113 in Midlothian at $123,124, which is and area just west of Old Gun Road to Powhatan County. Second is 23120 in Moseley, also in Chesterfield, at $118,454. Third highest is 23059 in Glen Allen at $108,794 in Henrico County.
All time wealth is ZIP code 10104 in New York at $2,976,929. Code 33109 in Miami Beach isn’t too shabby, either, at $2,180,105, according to the Post data.
