POSTPONED AND RELOCATED: Poet Paul Muldoon

Friday, March 23

UPDATE: Unfortunately, due to weather related travel complications, Poet Paul Muldoon is stuck in New York until Friday. A scheduled event on Thursday at Chop Suey has been postponed until Friday, March 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Modin Center.

Irish poet Paul Muldoon was described by the London Times Literary Supplement as “the most significant English-language poet born since the Second World War.” A teacher at Princeton University, he’s won the Pulitzer Prize for poetry and the T.S. Eliot Prize, and also serves as poetry editor at the New Yorker, where he weeds through 1,500 poems a week and publishes two. The author of 12 major collections, his accolades go on forever: Lucky for us, he’ll be in town to give a reading at the Modlin Center in conjunction with an appearance on Friday, March 23, at the musical premier of “Olagón: a Cantata in Doublespeak,” an Eighth Blackbird collaboration with supergroup the Gloaming, Princeton composer and fiddler Dan Trueman and Muldoon.
