Richmond bands continue to get regular notice from national media outlets.
Recently, NPR ran this piece, “What’s Past is Present on Two New Puerto Rican Albums” that looked at the new album by Miramar, “Dedication to Sylvia Rexach.” That release has been garnering widespread praise and was recently the top selling Latin pop album on Amazon. We talked to them for a Style article a few weeks ago.
And today, local metal outfit Inter Arma was streaming it’s new album, “Paradise Gallows” at NPR Music, which gave the release a glowing review.
From the review:
“This is a huge record in scope and sound, with instrumental passages that take their time even as they destroy. With Paradise Gallows, Inter Arma both expands and contracts the realms of extremity.”
Neither band has any local shows scheduled but both have been busy hitting the road on tour.
