No Space Jam for You!

The Missoula Oblongata’s productions are not your typical evening of entertainment. This experimental theater company, made up of friends Donna Sellinger, Madeline ffitch (yes, her last name is lowercase) and Sarah Lowry, puts on productions that are a little out there. Take their latest work, “The Last Hurrah of the Clementines,” which was written by Sellinger and ffitch: It’s described as “a play about interplanetary correspondence and the moment a person knows they will never be a professional athlete.” Also, as in all of the company’s productions, the actors control all of the lighting and sound while onstage. Missoula Oblongata comes to Gallery5 Thursday, July 24, at 7 p.m. $7. 644-0005.
