Not into all the hullabaloo? Uninterested in dressing up to celebrate? Spend New Year’s Eve at the National taking in progressive bluegrass band The Infamous Stringdusters. Live performances have become the band’s main focus so they’re likely to take the audience into 2025 with their long improvisational and instrumental jams, dancing optional. 8 p.m., The National, 708 E. For a time-honored RVA tradition, you can spend the lead-up to 2025 listening to the soothing AM gold classics of the ‘70s and ‘80s at NYE with Three Sheets to the Wind at the Broadberry.
