Neil deGrasse Tyson at the Landmark Theater

Saturday, Nov. 14

These days it takes more than book smarts to get the average person excited about science. Fortunately astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson is arguably the coolest nerd of the 21st century. The acting director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History, winner of NASA's highest civilian honor and host of PBS's “Nova” ScienceNow series, Tyson has cemented his reputation with a masterful knowledge of the cosmos and its inhabiting bodies, using uncanny humor and wit. With the oratory skills that rival modern politicians and an enthusiasm that borders on childlike, Tyson is scheduled to appear as part of the Richmond Forum at the Landmark Theater on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 8 p.m. $36-$70.
