We’ve heard of ice cream for crow, but ice cream for breakfast? Doesn’t sound bad at all. This Saturday, Feb. 5, Gelati Celesti is opening early to host the third annual National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day, while offering a free donut to customers who show up wearing their PJs.

Starting at 9 a.m. and running until noon, Gelati Celesti’s scoopers will be digging in and scooping out all their delicious flavors for the faithful. Masks and social distancing are encouraged while waiting in line for your sugar fix.

“It’s our favorite morning of the year and a huge hit with the community,” said Steve Rosser, owner and president of Gelati Celesti in a press release. “Who doesn’t love to stay in their jammies and indulge in some sweet treats in the morning, even if it’s cold out!”

According to the release, those who want to skip the pajamas in favor of more traditional garb can still purchase a donut for $1. How about that? After all the donuts and ice cream, just remember to run a few miles later in the day. Fitness has been shown to help when dealing with the ‘Rona. Better yet, walk or bike to your ice cream for breakfast, maybe?
