Little Big Town at the National

After a somewhat troubled start with its self-titled debut, country quartet Little Big Town have certainly hit its stride within the past several years. Starting in 2005 with “The Road to Here” and on to 2007's “A Place to Land,” this boy-girl-boy-girl collective has accessibly gleaned the organic, vocal harmonies of '70s Southern California (i.e. Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, Crosby, Stills and Nash) and blended it with its own modern ruralism. Little Big Town plays the National on Saturday, May 16, at 7 p.m. $20-$23. 612-1900 or www.thenationalva.com. — Mike Hilleary
