Wayne’s love for French food stems from spending a lot of time in Paris and St. Barth, part of the French Caribbean. “My goal has been to bring to the Fan the tastes of the Provence region.” While you might associate French food with heavy creams, the dishes at Morgan’s are more oil based, so you don’t taste the sauce as much as you do the food itself. Another myth about French food that Wayne hopes to dispel is the price. “French food doesn’t have to be expensive,” Morgan says. “Everything on the menu, even the wine, is reasonably priced.” The sandwiches, including grilled eggplant ricotta and haricot verts, run from $6 to $7. The entrees, including Moules Marineres, (steamed mussels in white wine) and Grillade de Boeuf (grilled beef rubbed with herbs), range from $12 to $18. Bon appetit!-Francis W. Decker
