Szpilman played the last live music (Chopin’s “Nocturne in C sharp Minor”) broadcast on Polish radio before Nazi occupation. Starring Adrien Brody, the film recounts Szpilman’s life under Nazi rule, practicing in silence and struggling to stay alive.
