Why are you running as an independent? I want to represent people of all political parties.

Why aren’t you running as a Democrat or Republican? I am really an independent voter.

What are your signature policies and campaign issues?
Restoring citizen input and faith in local government. Balanced, sustainable growth in Hanover. Economic development, which includes historic tourism and a strong rural economy.

Which political party do you more closely identify with?
Democratic, I suppose, but many Republican ideals I can embrace as well.

How do you differ most from them?
I want to make decisions based on what the people I represent need, not because the party demands it.

What changes would bring you into the Democratic or Republican fold?
Back your candidate as long as he has made honest decisions and hasn’t violated the public trust.

How did you arrive at your political convictions?
I suppose it comes from living, learning and my experiences in the 54 years I’ve existed.

Are you running to win, or running to bring attention to certain issues?
Why run if you’re not trying to win? I also want to serve and give back to the community.

Who is your political hero? George Washington.
