JEFF the Brotherhood, a two-piece rock band consisting of brothers Jake and Jamin Orrall, are pioneers of the Nashville indie-rock scene. The duo’s music is described as a mix of psychedelic, garage rock and punk, and their live shows are known for delivering a mind-bending experience with Jamin’s three drums and cymbals and Jake’s three-string guitar and wild vocals. That combination has turned in a legion of rabid fans, collaborations with such acts as Insane Clown Posse and Best Coast and extensive tours. 2009’s “Heavy Days,” followed by 2011’s “We Are the Champions,” received critical acclaim from the likes of Spin, Village Voice, the New Yorker and plenty of others. Catch the fuzzy rockers known as JEFF the Brotherhood when the group comes to Strange Matter on Sunday, Feb. 12, at 9 p.m. $8-$10. 447-4763.
