Yeni Nostalji’s sound has been described as “a mashup of Bossa Nova, ’60s French pop and modern indie-pop ballads.” Bandleader Christina Marie is of European and Lebanese descent but writes songs in Turkish; her band will be joined by guest musicians Ellen Cockerham Riccio and Schuyler Slack (violinist and cellist, respectively, with the Richmond Symphony), Scott Flynn, trombonist with Odesza and Pretty Lights, Taylor Barnett on trumpet from NO BS! Brass as well as Larri Branch on piano from the Larri Branch Agenda. It should be a special night. 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Limited seating. Get your tickets at jaminc.org. $25 at the door — but there are only 80 seats.
