The Charlottesville-based power-pop group Invisible Hand, fronted by Adam Smith, draws influences from bands like the Kinks and Cheap Trick, but is unique in its own right with songs full of extremely addictive ’60s-inspired riffs and an energy that’s difficult to match. Take a wall of reverb, mix it with some catchy melodies and some insightful lyrics, and you’ll get a part of what this is all about. Charlottesville loves them. Come and find out why when Invisible Hand performs at Strange Matter on Friday, Sept. 30, at 9 p.m. 447-4763.
