Thank you so much for your recent acknowledgment of the impact of Elliott Yamin (“The Score,” Cover Story, Dec. 27) — not just on your city but on the world.

His is a heartwarming story that is capable of enthralling one and all — similar to the story of Seabiscuit — a story needed to uplift a world struggling with shadowy forces of darkness. My husband and I are both big fans and traveled to Richmond to stay for a week to see Elliott in concert there in October, along with fans from around the globe.

All of you in Richmond are responsible. You lifted him to the heights with your glorious homecoming for him seen throughout the world, and we just can’t thank you enough for all the palpable love! Bless you!
