How to Access Your Vax Record Online (from VDH)

Be careful and avoid scams online.

You never know what kind of heinous scams are floating around out there in Facebook and Twitter land when it comes to your vaccination card, or whatever else these days.

Maybe we ought to just shut both those social media companies down immediately and step back into the light and joy of being present among the living. (Just kidding, but not really.) How bad could it be to follow the advice of the people who built those companies and keep their own children away from them? Hm.

But we digress: For those who want to know directly from the mouth of the Virginia Department of Health how to access your vaccination record, so that you can show it on your phone whenever and wherever you might need it, here are directions from VDH’s Brookie Crawford, public information officer.

“To access your COVID-19 vaccination record, visit vaccinate.virginia.gov and click “Check my COVID-19 vaccination record.” Enter your name, date of birth, and ZIP code. If there is a match, the system will send a verification code to the phone number associated with your vaccination record, through either a text message or an automated voice call. This prevents other people from accessing your record. Once you enter the verification code, you can view, save, and print your vaccination record.

If you cannot locate your COVID-19 vaccination record through the portal or you would like a record of other vaccinations, you may submit your request online. You can also contact the VIIS Help Desk at (866) 375-9795. The Help Desk will be staffed from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. For other questions, please email vaccinerecord@vdh.virginia.gov or call 877-VAX-IN-VA (877-829-4682).

And there you go.
