The Midlothian-based designer creates her one-of-a-kind garments — embellished with rickrack, fringe, grosgrain and pompoms — from 100 percent cotton, so they can be thrown in the wash after they’re worn. McNeer uses fabrics that can’t be found locally and incorporates tablecloths, dish towels and even chenille bedspreads into her products for a retro look that’s colorful and funky.

You can choose from Western-themed prints to the “Fashionista” apron (at left), featuring runway divas, or “Men at Work,” which sports hunky construction workers.
