Turn your back on those VCU Dance kids for a second, and there they go, tinkering with group choreography and cat movements. The Fall Senior Project Dance Concert, “A Building Alive,” features the work of four choreographers, who play with the mathematics of movement, as in Victoria Metz’s “Meditation on Lineal Geometry”; feline family life, as in Laura Stepp’s “Chasing Pride”; Jamie Reynolds’ improvisational “Naked Thoughts”; and Courtney Cooke’s abstract robot piece, “Methods to feed a machine.” The show runs Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 16-18, at 8 p.m. at Grace Street Theater. Tickets are $5-$10. 828-2020. S
