Named one of the 100 greatest stand-ups of all time by Comedy Central, Eddie Griffin has been in 12 movies since his first starring role in 2002’s “Undercover Brother.” Griffin hit headlines in March for crashing a rare Ferrari that was the centerpiece of his latest movie, “Redline,” which sheepishly opened a month later. Citing such influences as comedy superstars Redd Foxx and Richard Pryor, Griffin will return to his stand-up roots at the Funny Bone July 26-28. It’s likely he’ll be chauffeured to the club, so the sidewalks will be safe. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $30. Call 521-8900 or visit www.richmondfunnybone.com.
