After one of his rounds of chemotherapy, Harrison urged his mom to let him attend his Tiger Cub meeting. He pushed to get back into school and hopes to start baseball in the spring, even though he’s in active chemotherapy. He helps his mom serve the homeless through CARITAS and is talking about refurbishing an ice cream truck and selling ice cream so that he can donate the money to cancer research.
“He’s helped people find their own purpose in his special way,” his mom says. “He’s been an inspiration to all of us.”
As for Harrison, “Ride on,” he says. “That’s what I’ve learned.”
