The city’s oldest homicide victim in 2013 was 54 years old. The youngest was a newborn. Police found her, the city’s 13th homicide victim, in a dumpster off Monument Avenue during the city’s deadliest month, May. She is listed in records below as Robinson, the last name of her mother. But a Richmond police spokesman says they chose “Angel” as her first name. She is among the 37 homicides of 2013 — five fewer than the year before, as of press time. The majority of those killed were men. Of them, three in four were black. And 22 of those black men were younger than 30 when they died.
