Friday Cheers Announces 37th Annual Season

Bombino, Goth Babe and Japanese Breakfast among headliners.

It’s that time again: Friday Cheers has announced its schedule for the 37th season of Richmond’s longest running outdoor concert series downtown at Brown’s Island. Season passes and individual tickets are available now (see below).

Presented by Hardywood Park Craft Brewery, the concert series presents a diverse range of great live bands on their way up for only $10 in a beautiful setting by the James River.

“We are thrilled to be back on beautiful Brown’s Island for the 37th year of Friday Cheers! This concert series has been a staple of the Richmond music scene for so many years, and 2022 is shaping up to be one of the best yet,” said Stephen Lecky, director of events at Venture Richmond, in a press release.

Organizers are asking people to stay home if not feeling well or showing symptoms of COVID-19 which, really — we should all know to do by now if we have any commonsense or goodwill toward others.

According to today’s press release: “Advance tickets for individual shows and season passes to Friday Cheers are NOW available for purchase online at Season Passes are only $50 for a limited time through March 4 and the first 175 season pass buyers get a FREE Hardywood/Friday Cheers custom cup koozie with purchase (regular season pass price is $60 starting March 5).”
