Breweries and cideries figured out the whole flight thing a long time ago. Of course there’s something to be said for the ability to make an informed decision when faced with an overwhelming number of choices.
But for those of us who just can’t decide what we want, or want to sample half a dozen options before committing to a pint, a tray full of small drinks is often the way to go. Deciding on the perfect morning cocktail to complement a breakfast sandwich can be just as daunting as picking from 20-some beers, and that’s where the Fancy Biscuit comes in with its mimosa flight.
For $9.99 you get about four-and-a-half ounces each of the restaurant’s four mimosa flavors. There’s the classic, of course, with champagne and fresh-squeezed orange juice, and then a tart take on the original with pomegranate juice. Next in line features tart and refreshing raspberry-mint sorbet with champagne, and finally you’ve got mango sorbet and passion fruit simple syrup topped with bubbly.
The colorful assortment goes beautifully with just about anything on the menu, but we recommend pairing it with the Number 52: a biscuit with country ham, Sriracha hollandaise, pepper jack cheese and a poached egg. Between the four mimosas and the giant breakfast sandwich you’ve got your sweet, salty, tangy, chewy, creamy and fizzy — what more could you possibly ask for?
