Fish and Artists Care About the Environment

It’s nice that the shad are so concerned about our planet that they always return for the Earth Day festivities over on the 14th Street Bridge. Sea bass certainly aren’t that concerned. But there’s a lot to do, and maybe the shad like to stay busy. Art Works has Matt Cross’ recycled metalworks on display; artisans show their colors along Third and Fourth streets; there’s music at the Railroad Museum; and on the Mayo Bridge, a Fish Festival. Maybe it’s all a coincidence, but the fish really seem to care. Where are the trout on Mother’s Day? The Earth Day events run 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Call 291-1400 or visit www.earthdayrichmond.org.S
