Here are the food-and-drink festivities that you don’t want to miss this summer.

It’s officially festival season, and what better way to spend a balmy afternoon than outside, with a couple hundred (or thousand) of your closest friends, celebrating all things delicious?

Father’s Day Keg ‘n’ Oyster Fest at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery
Sunday, June 16, noon – 6 p.m.
Free live music from Andrew Alli, Josh Small and the Hot Seats.

Hanover Tomato Festival at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville
Friday, July 12, 5:30 – 8 p.m.
Saturday, July 13, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Free.

Innsbrook Taste of Virginia Festival at Innsbrook Pavilion
Saturday, July 6 at 3:30 p.m.
Live music from Three Sheets to the Wind, Soul Expressions and Main Street Station.
Tickets $8. Kids 10 and younger come for free.

RVA Reggae Jerk Festival at Brown’s Island
Saturday, July 13, noon – 9 p.m.
Musical lineup includes Mighty Joshua, Ever-G, Mystic Vibrations and Emanuel “Wildfire” Wilson.
Tickets cost $20 general admission, $10 for 12 and younger.

Stony Point Wine Festival at Stony Point Fashion Park
Saturday, July 20, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Live music by Grace Street Seven vintage jazz band.
Tickets for unlimited sampling are $25 in advance and $35 at the door.

Dogtown Beer and Tacos Festival at Dogtown Brewing Co.
Saturday, July 20, 2 – 10 p.m.
Free.

Sweet Corn and Watermelon Festival at Gallmeyer Farms
Saturday, July 20, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Free live music from Cobalt Whiskey from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and Cisco from 1:45 to 5 p.m., plus craft vendors, free hay rides and pony rides for $5.
Free admission and free parking.

Brewhaha Craft Beer Festival at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture
Saturday, Aug. 3, from 6 to 9 p.m.
$10 to $40.

Jazz and Food Festival at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church
Saturday, Aug. 3, noon – 7:30 p.m.

Festival of Cheese Showcase at the Greater Richmond Convention Center
Saturday, Aug. 3, 6:30 p.m.
$45, $48.24 with service fee. Tickets available at Brown Paper Tickets.

Filipino Festival at Our Lady of Lourdes Church
Friday, Aug. 9, from 5 to 10 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 10, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Free.

Carytown Watermelon Festival
Sunday, Aug. 11, noon – 6 p.m.
Live music and lots of vendors and people fill Carytown. Free.

Crabs and Beer by the James at Brown’s Island
Saturday, Aug. 24, noon – 9 p.m.
$10-$50.
