Fan staple Crossroads Coffee and Ice Cream is closing tomorrow, but Lamplighter Roasting Company, itself a neighborhood notable, plans to take over the business.
That’s according to a sign posted on the coffee shop’s door today. The note says the shop will close Monday at 1 p.m. The shop will reopen as Lamplighter in early Feburary, the note says.
Jim McVey, the real estate agent handling the sale, confirmed Sunday that the parties are close to closing on the deal. Lamplighter co-owner Noelle Archibald, didn’t respond to email messages sent over the past 10 days.
The sale won’t impact Crossroad’s Forest Hill location.
Lamplight opened in Dec. 2009 on Addison Street. Early this year they opened a second location in Scott’s Addition.
