While people indulge in daily outrages from behind their keyboards, the big looming crisis that could change everything for humanity gets little action. Having started in the United Kingdom, this is the first of an indefinite series of weekly demonstrations in response to the global climate emergency. The demonstrations will continue every Friday until the four demands of Extinction Rebellion U.S. are met: Read them at extinctionrebellion.us. Everyone is welcome. The event is a networking opportunity leading up to the Global Climate Strike week of action from Sept. 20 to 27.
