Yom HaShoah, the annual Day of Remembrance to honor the memory of millions of Jewish Holocaust victims, will be observed in an in-person ceremony at the Virginia Holocaust Museum on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 2pm.
The program will feature the lighting of the Holocaust Memorial Candles by survivor families from the Richmond region, the awarding of the Carole Weinstein Prizes for Tolerance and Justice in the Visual Arts, and a keynote address by Ambassador Stuart E. Eizenstat, Chairman of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.
Admission is free, but registration is requested for planning purposes.
