The Traveling Players Ensemble presents William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” at Agecroft Hall and Gardens. Prince Hamlet is a reluctant hero with impossible choices. Returning home after his father’s death, Hamlet is unsettled by his mother’s speedy remarriage to his uncle. When the ghost of Hamlet’s father appears and reveals that he was murdered by the man who now wears his crown, the ghost commands Hamlet to murder Claudius in revenge. But can you trust a ghost? This revenge tragedy brims with intrigue, trickery, heartache, and more than a little humor.
Pack a picnic and enjoy the gardens and grounds before heading to your seats in Agecroft’s Shakespearean courtyard. Gates will open at 6 pm. Announcements regarding the weather will be made by 5:30 pm on the day of the performance.
Tickets are $30. $20 for students. The show is not recommended for children under 10.
