While the Tiny Desk at NPR delights audiences nationwide, those of us in Richmond wondered how we might charm the public with a digital musical experience that bears the mark of the city. We came up with The Intersection: Music and Storytelling on Broad and Belvidere. In partnership with Overcoast Studios, the ICA will bring together two sonically distinct bands to perform a new musical arrangement. The evening will also feature storytellers and poets who will weave together tales inspired by the music. We will record a video of the new musical arrangement and release The Intersection online as a calling card for RVA’s musical ascendency.
Doors open at 6 PM with performance starting at 7 PM.
