Soul Providers review: Show with Percy Sledge – Richmond Times Dispatch
“Sledge should not get all of the credit. Most of the night he was assisted by an audience that at times was louder than the headliner. Some of the crowds unbridled enthusiasm must have been because of the opening act. Thanks to the Soul Providers, the evening began just as soulful as it ended. The Richmond based group tore through a set of standards including “Soul Man”, “Slip Away”, and Bill Withers “Aint No Sunshine” . These guys have it all – strong vocals, a horn section, and dark sunglasses – What more can you ask of a soul band?”– Matt Mathis, Richmond Times Dispatch
