This event features designer renderings and garments created by 41 Virginia students in grades 6–12 who participated in VMFA’s Teen Stylin’ program. This year’s theme, “Authenticity,” is inspired by the special exhibition Frida: Beyond the Myth, organized by the Dallas Museum of Art and curated for VMFA by Dr. Sarah Powers. The following awards will be presented: Best in Show, Best Use of Materials, Most Creative Construction, Best Interpretation of a Work of Art, Best Interpretation of the Theme, and Most Wearable.
