The Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation is thrilled to introduce the Power of Pink Luncheon in Richmond presented by Virginia Women’s Center!
Join us on Thursday, October 10, 2024 to raise funds and support for breast cancer access, education, and awareness. This event brings together individuals passionate about making a difference in the fight against breast cancer, featuring speakers who share inspiring stories of resilience and triumph.
The luncheon empowers survivors, honors those affected by breast cancer, and drives progress toward a future free from the disease.
The Power of Pink will be held at The Jefferson Hotel. Registration begins at 11:30 AM. We will be seated at Noon for lunch and will hear from our wonderful local and keynote speakers. We will wrap up by 1:30 PM.

About the Speakers:
Elizabeth Heiskell is a celebrity caterer and NBC’s Today Show Food Correspondent, She lives in Oxford, Mississippi, where she is the owner of Elizabeth Heiskell Catering, which is in its 22nd year. Elizabeth was head chef at Viking Range Corporation for 8 years where she added fun and vitality to all of her cooking classes. Elizabeth has appeared on the Food Network’s “The Kitchen” and on “Chopped” as a judge. She is a Southern Living magazine contributing editor and is the author of three best-selling cookbooks What Can I Bring, The Southern Living Party Cook Book and Come On Over. Elizabeth was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022.
Dr. Priti Shah is the Medical Director of Breast Imaging for Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Health System in Richmond, VA as well as an Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Radiology at VCU. She will offer a patient perspective and share how VBCF is working to address access to care challenges. Dr. Shah was voted First Place for Radiology in Our Health Richmond Magazine’s Best Bedside Manner Award in 2018 and one of Virginia’s Top Docs in Diagnostic Radiology by Virginia Business Magazine in 2024.
