Raven Custalow, of Mattaponi and Rappahannock ancestry and an enrolled member of the Mattaponi tribe, will discuss her art and activism and perform ceremonial dances.
Through her non-profit organization, Eastern Woodlands Revitalization, Custalow preserves and promotes ancestral cultural practices. A practicing Registered Nurse, Custalow advocates for health care for underrepresented Native populations and for women’s political participation in tribal affairs.
