Join us in the Main Gallery on Thursday, March 14th from 5pm – 8pm for the opening reception of Metabolism, a solo exhibition by local artist Jeanie Keys. Metabolism is a tightly regulated process which embodies the constant change and transformation sustaining life. Employing techniques such as cutouts, sewing, charcoal and acrylic, this new series of works on paper explores themes of family and precious heirlooms as well as letting go.
Jeanie was born of Hungarian immigrant parents who had settled in the beautiful little town of Luray, Va. She has been forming and building things ever since. Jeanie owned her own art/framing business for 30 years and partnered with Nordstrom Dept. Stores selling her prints nationally for 11 years. She will continue to work in the creative fields until the end.
Metabolism opens Thursday, March 14th and will be on view at Quirk Gallery and on our exhibitions page through May 12th, 2024. This event is open to the public and free to attend.
