About the Speaker
Yvonne Mastromano joined the Virginia Voice team in January of 2022 as the Chief Executive Officer. Yvonne grew up in the Hudson Valley in Coxsackie, NY. Yvonne had the opportunity to graduate from high school early after being accepted into the Music program at Ithaca College at age 16. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s of Music degree with an emphasis in piano and a minor in voice. After graduating, Yvonne served as the Assistant Director at Olana in Hudson, NY, the museum where she had spent her summers as a tour guide. Three years later, she was promoted to Executive Director at Philipse Manor Hall, a museum in Yonkers, NY. Yvonne moved to Virginia and was hired by NBC12 in the 1990’s and became known as the “Traffic Lady” while reporting daily from a variety of live locations throughout the region. Ten years later, Yvonne returned to non-profit work when she was hired as the Executive Director of the Innsbrook Foundation where she spent almost a decade. Now as CEO of Virginia Voice, Mastromano and her team are working to raise funds to prepare for the expanding demographic of individuals who can benefit from their services. Yvonne and her husband, Alberto, have two boys, two fur babies and a family restaurant which keep them quite busy and entertained.
