Moments Make A Palace, a solo exhibit by Rain Spann curated by Rosetta, comes to an intersectional “ending” on Saturday, November 9th. The exhibit continues to serve as an immersive showcase of studies completed by the artist throughout and post-residency. Spann will be navigating away from solo exhibits for the time being as he continues to explore new techniques, processes, cohesion, materials, forms, and threads.
“The exhibit surveys the many moments that create and sustain the connection held with family, friends, and most importantly ourselves. As we live and learn, these moments collectively form the foundation for our inner palace. Each experience, whether transformative or seemingly simple, contributes to the establishment, underpinning, and beauty of our inner world; thus, altering the outlook of our current journey. Healing and unlearning old ways of thinking are not linear paths. Oscillating between different states of understanding self and others is a natural process that produces dynamic clarity. This realization has brought me closer to a harder truth: impermanence. Nothing is set in stone, not even the idea I have of myself, and that’s actually okay.” -Spann
