Speaker William Therrien, Ph.D.
Explore how individuals with autism spectrum disorder have different strengths and challenges and learn how to connect, support and be inclusive within this framework. Join Dr. Therrien for a morning coffee chat and presentation providing information to broaden the understanding of autism.

Participate in a conversation between Dr. Therrien and FPC member Dr. Belva Collins. This is an excellent opportunity to gain information and insight into the support and inclusion of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Dr. Therrien is Professor at the University of Virginia where he is affiliated with the STAR initiative which focuses on transformative autism research. In addition, he is editor of Exceptional Children, the premiere research journal in special education. His expertise is in designing and evaluating academic programs for students with autism and learning disabilities.
