Indigenous Perspectives Closing Celebration

August 2 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The Library presents an “Indigenous Perspectives” exhibition closing celebration featuring performances and displays from tribal representatives. A drumming circle, dancing and demonstrations of traditional crafts will celebrate Virginia’s 11 federally and state-recognized tribes. No registration required.

The exhibition, which runs through Aug. 17, 2024, in our Exhibition Gallery & Lobby, explores the voices and experiences of Virginia’s tribal communities. View excerpts from video interviews, archival records, and objects contributed by the tribes that reflect their traditions and culture. Learn more online here.
