I Tried to Say, “I Love You” But I Had a Cigarette in My Mouth: World Premiere Queer Theatre!

April 24 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

$15

Written by Eva Linder and directed by Candace Hudert.

Upon moving to NYC in 2011, Lottie throws herself into the Brooklyn lesbian scene, naive of its tumultuous nature. She battles between following her head – her promising career opportunities – and following her heart – a magnetic stranger named Violet. Their story examines the line between love and control, and asks if cigarettes are the only thing they’re addicted to.

Come celebrate sapphic theatre at The Basement this April and May, and support local emerging Richmond artists!
