Join the Richmond Symphony and the Virginia Museum of History & Culture for a special evening of history and music, featuring selections commemorating the international and Indigenous communities that supported the colonies in their journey to forge a new American nation.
History Notes will begin with a brief history talk discussing rare items from the VMHC collection followed by inspired musical selections highlighting works created by Dutch, Spanish, French, and Indigenous composers, and played by a chamber ensemble of some of Richmond’s most talented musicians.
A reception will follow the musical performance.
