Historic Garden Week Richmond Tour

Scenic, flat walking tour of Lower Tuckahoe West featuring entrance to three distinctive homes, an outdoor living room with gardens and a hosta garden featuring more than 700 varieties. This upscale community preserves the natural beauty and open spaces characteristic of Goochland. Start the tour at Lower Tuckahoe Plantation, a designated National Historic Landmark and explore its formal gardens, kitchen garden and the school house where Thomas Jefferson learned to read. There will be a plant sale and horticulture exhibit at Tuckahoe Plantation. You will take a shuttle from Tuckahoe Plantation to Lower Tuckahoe West for the house and garden tour.
