Hamid Rahmanian, Song of the North

February 2 @ 7:30 pm

$10 – $50

Song of the North tells the tale of Manijeh, a courageous heroine from ancient Persia, who must rescue her beloved and help prevent a war. This epic love story (which is family-friendly for ages 7 and up) employs a cast of 500 handmade puppets, projected animation, and an ensemble of nine actors and puppeteers, weaving art and storytelling into a spectacular multimedia reimagining of a classic Persian tale.

He is best known for his award-winning documentary film The Glass House and his illustrated book Shahnameh: The Epic of the Persian Kings.
