The holidays are the perfect time to impress your guests and warm your home with a fragrant and beautifully-dressed table centerpiece. At this hands-on workshop, participants will work together to recreate a historically-inspired tablescape with candles, fruits, herbs, nuts, and greenery, while using reproduction tableware and referencing historic images. Learn the importance of height and symmetry when displaying candles; experiment with napkin folding; and gain the skills to decorate a beautiful table for the holidays.
During the latter portion of the workshop, each participant will craft an herbal centerpiece featuring winter greenery, a beeswax candle, and luxurious ribbon to take home.
This workshop will be led by Rebecca Suerdieck, a historic educator who specializes in early American homemaking skills. Bring a friend and sign up today!
