OPENING MINDS THROUGH ART (OMA)
This award-winning Scripps inter-generational art program allows people with dementia to create vibrant works of abstract art inviting us into a world of bold colors and exciting designs.
Our goal at The OMA Center is to help create a society that values older adults with dementia. We achieve this by building genuine friendships between people with dementia and volunteers as they engage in art-making. Additionally, we offer education, respite, and fellowship for caregivers.
We invite you to attend the November 14th grand opening of this special exhibit and meet the amazing artists in this award-winning program.

MEMORIES OF NORTHERN GHANA
Chief Babs’ artwork comes from his memories of growing up in Northern Ghana, surrounded by Dagomba culture. Since coming to the United States in 2011, he uses painting and artwork to remember and celebrate traditional African dance, music, village life, hard work, and family.
