Elsewhere Shakespeare presents “Henry IV”

Elsewhere Shakespeare presents a free, 90min production of Henry IV.

In typical Elsewhere fashion, this seven-actor show will have no director and only two days of rehearsal.

This performance will actually be a conflation of two plays: Henry IV Part 1 and Part 2. We’ll tell the whole story of both 15th-century rebellions against King Henry IV and the coming of age of his oldest son, Prince Hal, who must leave his life of partying and petty crime to become the heroic King Henry V.

Part buddy comedy, part epic dynastic struggle, some believe the Henry IV plays represent the best of Shakespeare’s writing.
