Professor of Musical Theatre Desirèe Dabney directs Disney’s Descendants: The Musical by Nick Blaemire. Based on the popular Disney Channel Original Movies, Disney’s Descendants: The Musical is a brand-new musical jam-packed with comedy, adventure, Disney characters, and hit songs from the films!

Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost – home of the most infamous villains who ever lived – the teenaged children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island… until now. When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should they follow in their parents’ wicked footsteps or learn to be good?

Performances take place at the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts located at 922 Park Ave.

Tickets: General Admission $25. Discounts available for students and VCU community. VCUarts Theatre alumni can book two complimentary tickets to any performance in advance. All tickets are general admission. The VCUarts Theatre Box office is now cashless. Please purchase tickets online or in-person with a credit/debit card. Seating typically opens 30 minutes before performances.

Disney’s Descendants: The Musical has an expected runtime of approximately 90 minutes with a brief intermission.

Parking: There is a paid parking deck located at Harrison and Broad. You can also use public street parking which follows Richmond City regulations.
