ART 180’s first show of the year Cross Contour opens with a multimedia showcase of art–from film, stop motion animation, painting, and illustration–by youth artists from across Richmond.
Cross Contour, highlights three distinct art experiences:
* Digital Canvas lead by teaching artist Alliannah Hamilton
* High school creatives showcase experimental film and stop-motion pieces at our Atlas gallery.
* Middle School Residency with Khalid Thompson
* Meditatively produced paintings reflecting instinct and intuition by middle school creatives at Thomas C Boushall Middle School.
* Motivate Excel Lead Art Program by Mel Walker and City of Richmond Parks, Recreations & Community Facilities
* Young artists pursue their creative ideas through 2-D illustrations
The meaning and methods of expression vary, yet Cross Contour beautifully highlights how the creative visions of young artists thread through our city, intersecting and resonating.
